Your Wedding
This is your day, your ceremony and your ceremony is going to be unique, heart-warming, joyful and memorable. No matter whether you would like a wedding with scores of guests or a small intimate occasion I will work with you to create your own unique ceremony in harmony with your beliefs, ideas and traditions.
BOOK YOUR CELEBRANT FIRST!
Spring and autumn are traditionally busy months for weddings , especially on the Gold Coast. Many couples, having booked the reception first, find it difficult to find a professional celebrant who is available on that date. You might consider looking outside the most popular 3 pm on Saturday for weddings. Having your wedding ceremony on a Monday or a Friday can create a long weekend for your guests. Mid-week early morning or evening can be very romantic if your guests are local or if it is a small wedding. It is advisable to make your booking with me as soon as you know the date of your wedding. Please either ring or email me to make sure that I am available for your wedding date.
The first step in preparing for a wedding is to make sure that you have filled out a “Notice of Intended Marriage” (NOIM) and this must be returned to the marriage celebrant at least one calendar month and a day before the wedding. For all couples who are interstate or overseas prior to the wedding, you can complete all the arrangements by telephone, e-mail or by post.
If you are able to come for an appointment, then we will complete this Notice at our first meeting. I will need to see your original Birth Certificates (or a certified copy) if you were born in Australia. If you have been married before, I will need to see proof that you are no longer married. (Decree Absolute or Death Certificate). If you are coming from overseas to marry on the Gold Coast I will give you details of all the documents you need to bring. If from overseas, you can have your NOIM witnessed in your home country and send it to me by post.
You can download a NOIM here.
There are so many details to consider in planning a wedding and you may not have given the ceremony itself much thought. However, remember, the ceremony is the centre of your wedding day. Whatever you have imagined or dreamed, it is all possible. I have a Wedding Pack with sample ceremonies and readings and vows to choose from to help couples in creating the ceremony of their choice. I also have a list of questions for couples to help me include their personal story so that their particular ceremony is unique and meaningful to them.
“Lili, Adam and I thought that the personal story you wrote about us was fantastic!! Thank you very much!”

The marriage documents that you sign before your wedding and on your wedding day are the most important and binding legal documents you will sign throughout your lives. They are a legal commitment to loyalty, care and support. Your ceremony should reflect the significance of this occasion. I’ll help you to create your own special ceremony.
I provide a high quality public address system that ensures your guests will hear your ceremony, whether we are inside or out on the beach. I also have a handheld microphone if you wish to invite family or friends to share a reading or blessing.
“Hello Lili, My congratulations to you on a wonderful ceremony on Sunday. Everyone spoke about how wonderful the ceremony was and friends of ours seem keen to have something similar which is special to hear. Even my aunt who always wanted to get married on the beach is thinking of renewing her vows and having a beach ceremony!! We appreciate everything you did to help make it run so beautifully. Thank you again”.
