It's no secret that I absolutely love performing ceremonies at Cowbell Creek in Austinville and there is a mountain of reasons why, so let me tell you!
The venue is different every time I go, there is always something new to see and I love that they are always improving, upgrading and finding new ways to better service their couples.
The barn is magnificent! Barns are so incredibly popular but this one is by far my absolute favourite, its only a couple of years old and is a dream to see. The barn can be used as is or styled to suit your day, with amazing high ceilings, traditional barn features and different sections for dining, socialising and dancing. Even the style of reception can be just as you like it, there are large farmhouse tables for a sit down meal or wine barrels to create a cocktail setting if you prefer.
I love the garden party area as well, so often your guests feel awkward and in limbo while you are off having your photoshoot but not here, it is custom designed to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. while your off galivanting with the cows you guests can enjoy a pre-reception complete with drinks, croquet, lawn bowls and party games.
Now my department- the ceremony area. Cowbell Creek has purpose built ceremony area, there is no confusing your guests with where they are meant to be, its beautifully styled with ample seating and right next to the barn. The ceremony space also has a retractable roof pergola so can have it open of covered, whatever suits you!
In terms of photo opportunities there aren't many places that can offer more in the way of picturesque backdrops, you've got swings, your got rustic sheds, you've got giant trees, you've got lakes, you've got the stunning barn, you've got personalised signs, you've got rusty tractors and you've got so much more, but possible most exciting.... you've got cows!
Possibly an unimportant aspect that I love is that Cowbell Creek is north side of the awful Robina traffic area that can often add a significant amount of travel time and potential late arrival if you aren't familiar for your northside guests.
Now for the most exciting kicker... from what I have heard their packages start under 10k... wrap your heads around that!! (don't quote me on that though, that's just positive feedback I've from my previous couples 😀😀)
Tracey and her team execute a flawless operation at Cowbell Creek and you would be crazy not to give this venue a decent look in to if you are still on the hunt. For an all inclusive, immaculately presented, phenomenally run venue with a magical day assured this is the one!

Everyone who is searching for venues on the coast has come across Summergrove Private Estate. The reason everyone has come across this venue is because it has a great name for itself. Summergrove Estate is one of the most prestigious venues around with a Saturday waiting list literally years long, and for good reason too!
They combine all of the current trends like rustic, elegant and romantic into one perfect little package. They execute their niche and vision so effortlessly you have no doubt you are in good hands with this venue and its amazing staff. Summergrove has been nominated for and won a countless list of awards in almost every venue category- Venue with a View, Outdoor Venue, Chapel Venue, Garden Venue, Reception Venue, Restaurant Reception and the level of professionalism is evident from the minute you arrive.
For me the highlights in terms of ceremony are certainly that Summergrove have an outstanding chapel with seating for 120+ guests, I love the timber floorboards and how it is glass fronted to take in the amazing hinterland views, integrated sound system and double doors for the perfect bridal entrance.
Riverwood is a family run private property converted into an amazing venue perfect for the DIY rustic theme. Carmen is the co-ordinator of this gorgeous venue and her organising and efforts with couples are second to none. Because Riverwood is a private residence they only service a maximum of 15 full scale weddings per year so you will never feel like just another couple to them.
Riverwood is described as a blank canvas venue, which means you can bring in as much or as little as you like, you can have tipis or marquees, individual seating or bench seating, food trucks or catering. You've got room for lawn games and dance floors and there's even a bonfire for some late night smores if you like! You can do whatever tickles your fancy!
If you are looking for a venue with plenty of freedom, but organised to perfection then Riverwood is definitely the place for you 😀😀
With this venue being a bit newer on the wedding scene, after undergoing a large restoration that means it certainly has a more modern refined feel about it, but also has those elegant classic details perfect for every wedding day too. Set on a massive 111 acres which includes plenty of accommodation, 10x 2 bedroom cottages, 3 boutique bunkhouses that sleep 8-10, a unique tree house and a Deluxe Regal Suite for the most important of guests...
A massive high note for me on my visits to this venue is their staff. Their dedication and pride was obvious by the passion and phenomenal organisation shown by the excellent on site co-ordinators. The difference a well organised co-ordinator can make is bigger than you know, knowing someone if there to make sure everything runs smoothly certainly is a minute peace of mind on the craziness that is a wedding day, especially knowing someone will have a drink ready to calm the nerves as soon as you need it!
And of course we all know I love a chapel and this one is one of my absolute favourites! This chapel is different because its an open air ceremony space, meaning it has all the elements of a standard chapel without being closed in, beautifully decorated, seating in pews and of course undercover for those pesky rainy days.

I am a sucker for a chapel and this one is a beauty ❤️❤️
Chapels are often confused for churches and people think a chapel wedding has to be a religious occasion, but that isn't the case at all. In Australia there are 2 classifications of celebrants, civil and religious and trust me us civils love the chapels too, and for this celebrant Coolibah is one of the best!
Something I love about Coolibah in particular is how this amazing chapel is the first thing you see as you drive in so the stunning views begin as soon as you arrive. The bride is someone you wont see as soon as you arrive because they have a beautiful homestead available for the bridal party to get ready in before the big occasion. They will then buggy you down and give you the dramatic double door opening for your walk down the aisle that you have always dreamed of.
But the chapel isn't the only option here, they have a gorgeous Croquet Lawn, The Garden Gazebo with forest backdrop or The "Love" Tree. So many ceremony options and a venue with one of the most extensive range of features for photo opportunities, gorgeous gardens, water fountains, rainforest bridges, wooden swings, and so much more.
If you are looking for a venue with endless personal preference possibilities, this might be the one for you 😀😀

I have travelled to this venue quite a few times now and find it such a relaxed easy going place for a ceremony. I especially love that the bar is open for a few drinks for the groom and his groomsman before everyone arrives, it certainly helps calm the nerves!
The reception venue is upstairs completely separate from the main restaurant and bar so there is no need to worry about it not being a 100% private venue.
The ceremony location is out on the practice green with enough flat surface room to cater for 100's of seats if you are much more popular than myself 😂 set amongst a circle of trees as well so for an afternoon ceremony you get a bit of shade just at the right time.
Another aspects I love about this venue is their presence at wedding expos, I see their co-ordinator Sandy at every one I attend and personally I would love to see a friendly face for a bit of a chat before committing to a full on tour meeting.

This venue is great for every style of ceremony area with a whopping 4 different locations! You can choose to have the "Jacaranda Gazebo" for an amazing view, "The Tree" which looks absolutely stunning especially when decorated with hanging lights, the "Historic Chapel" which can comfortably seat 120 guests and was relocated to the venue after previously being St Paul Lutheran Church and finally the "Chapel Garden" option. Then you are followed with even more choice for your receptions with 3 different options here!
With so much choice and an amazing team to execute the running of your day exactly as you would like it, if you are thinking of a winery for your special day, you can't go past Albert River 😍😍

The reason this one is a little different is because I performed their first ceremony only a few weeks ago but I was certainly impressed with my time there.
The highlight seemed to be the food and of course because its an amazing restaurant. Even just the spread of delicious arrival food was so impressive some guests struggled to put their forks down for the ceremony. While we were off doing the hitching there was an entire kitchen silently working away on the next course.
Aside from that that were so many other details that stood out to me. As someone who comes from hospitality I appreciated the level of staffing that a restaurant delivers, some ceremonies I don't see anyone who works there so I loved seeing the canapes being delivered by multiple staff, the guests being greeted as they arrived by multiple additional staff, the manager Tim in sight all times for any issues that arose and even all the chefs throwing a friendly wave to the guests too.
This is one venue that is going to get their name out quickly and I cant wait to perform more ceremonies on their gorgeous balcony.

Say your I do's down by the creek with a spectacular back drop. All perfectly organised by an all star team. They also have a reception location to suit all styles, the marquee for that outdoor feel, the homestead ballroom for traditional elegance or my personal favourite- the wine cellar. The rustic theme down to a tee.
The most memorable aspect I have experienced with this venue was an emergency wet weather option 100% set up just in case! 2nd arbour, 2nd set up of chairs, 2nd signing table all set up because the weather was speculated to take a massive turn. That is something I have never seen before but as a bride would certainly appreciate!

The gorgeous Ardeena Estate, the sister venue of the famous Summergrove Estate. Ardeena is a DIY venue situated in Carool just below the QLD/NSW border. The beauty of this venue is it is a blank canvas just waiting to be transformed into your wildest wedding dreams!
You can style, accessorise, arrange and even staff as you see fit. My favourite aspect is a built-in bar that you can fill with your poison to avoid those bar tab/spirits on the bar problems. Just have whatever you like and hire someone to serve it!
The other bonus here is the various ceremony locations, your free to set up wherever you like but the best spot in my opinion is the clearing in between the amazing macadamia trees. Plus there is also accommodation on site so you don’t have to crawl very far a the end of the night!
