A bit about me!

 

In advance, sorry for the classic celebrant lines, like how my own great wedding inspired me 😂

I've been a celebrant for almost 10 years now, with more than 800 weddings under my belt. My background in events, hospitality and customer service definitely helps with the chatty nature of the job!

​

So, how did I become a celebrant? My own wedding!

I married my amazing husband Bradley, who I met under the golden arches as a teenager. Being the first in my circle to get married sparked something in me, and after attending a friend's wedding on Tamborine Mountain, I remember thinking, "I’m going to do what she does!"

​

Just three days later, I was enrolled to do my Cert IV in Celebrancy. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

​

It’s certainly been a ride! Despite a few downs (cough cough, Covid) and MANY ups, I’ve been nominated for Queensland's Best Celebrant for the last 8 years, making the Top 10 for quite some time and reaching #2 in 2022 before finally, in 2023, it was my time to win! I've also won #1 Gold Coast Wedding Celebrant and MC three times, including at the most recent 2025 awards!

But as much as I absolutely love an award, one of the biggest compliments I can ever receive is a recommendation from one of my previous couples.

​

There’s something pretty special about meeting a new couple and finding out I married their friends, their sibling or someone else close to them. In fact, I currently have a little recommendation chain going that is SIX couples long!

​

And one of the best parts is getting to see those couples again a few years later. I get to hear about everything that’s happened since their wedding day, the houses, adventures and sometimes even the little people they’ve welcomed along the way.

​

Because the truth is, these weddings genuinely mean something to me.

​

There might be 800+ of them now, but ask me about pretty much any one of those weddings and I’ll be able to tell you something about it. Where they got married. Something funny that happened. A little detail from their story. A moment I remember from the day.

​

Could I tell you where I put my car keys five minutes ago? Absolutely not. 😂 But somehow, all of those little wedding details stick with me.

​

I think that’s because I’ve never looked at this job as simply turning up, saying some words and making things legal. I genuinely care about the people standing in front of me and the day we’re creating together.

​

And when it comes to the ceremony itself, my style is pretty simple: it should be fun, but it shouldn't be a joke.

​

A wedding is something to celebrate! I want people laughing, relaxed and enjoying themselves. I want your ceremony to actually sound like the two of you. But amongst all of that fun, I never forget that this is also a really significant moment.

​

You're marrying your person. You’ve gathered the people who matter to you to be there for it. There are going to be sentimental moments, happy tears and things that deserve a little space to simply mean something.

​

For me, the best ceremonies have both.

​

They’re fun without turning your wedding into a comedy show. They’re meaningful without becoming overly serious or stuffy. And most importantly, they feel like you.

​

In the months leading up to your celebration and on the big day itself, I’ll be there to keep things easy, relaxed and organised. There are a few legalities we need to cover, but outside of those, we have so much freedom to create something that suits you.

​

It’s important to be comfortable with your celebrant, and I hope I’ve given you a little insight into who I am. Your celebrant gets to be right there alongside you during a pretty significant moment in your life, and I’d absolutely love to be the one standing there with you.

​
