Ceremony Flow
This page walks you through how a ceremony typically flows, section by section, with a brief overview of what happens during each part.
Every ceremony is completely customisable, so couples are always welcome to add, remove or adjust sections to suit their vision for the day.

A quick welcome and any important guest announcements before the ceremony begins, such as unplugged ceremony requests or group photo information.
The celebrant welcomes everyone, introduces the couple and officially begins the ceremony.
A personalised story about the couple, sharing how they met, their relationship journey and the qualities they love most about one another.
Optional readings, poems or rituals can be included during the ceremony by guests, the couple themselves or the celebrant.
Probably everyone’s favourite part… the couple share their vows and exchange the legal minimum vows required under the Marriage Act 1961.
The couple usually exchange rings, often accompanied by a short ring verse.
The celebrant concludes and announces the couple as a married couple, and then... it's smooching time!
The couple walk back down the aisle as newlyweds, usually accompanied by music, petals, bubbles or cheering guests.
The couple sign the wedding documents with the celebrant and two witnesses.
