The celebrant welcomes everyone, introduces the couple and officially begins the ceremony.
A personalised story about the couple, sharing how they met, their relationship journey and the qualities they love most about one another.
Optional readings, poems or rituals can be included during the ceremony by guests, the couple themselves or the celebrant.
This is where the celebrant asks the couple to confirm their intentions to marry. It’s the non-legal part that ends with the couple saying “I do!”
Probably everyone’s favourite part… the couple share their vows and exchange the legal minimum vows required under the Marriage Act 1961.
The couple usually exchange rings, often accompanied by a short ring verse.
